This has been our home for five years. We renovated it in 2026 and now share it with travellers in two separate, private stays. Nyuh Kuning is a quiet village on the south side of Ubud's Monkey Forest. You can walk to cafés, yoga studios and restaurants, and come home to birdsong instead of traffic.

A self-contained room and bathroom down a flight of stairs, with its own entrance and a semi-private garden. It faces east onto a small waterfall and stream, where the monkeys play on hot days.
The house backs onto the Monkey Forest. Macaques pass by every day, and kingfishers, monitor lizards and fireflies live in the trees around us.
Yoga Barn, Ubud Yoga Studio and IN Movement are about 15 minutes on foot. Bali Bohemia is 5 minutes away.

The house is a peaceful oasis that makes you feel right at home, with the most special bay window overlooking the forest.

Most evenings the field down the road fills with walkers, jugglers, kids and dogs at sunset. There are small cafés a minute away and some of Ubud's best food within a short walk.
